Choosing Palm Oil For Your Family
Choosing palm oil for a home is a balance of purity, quantity and price. Here is how to get all three right.
Match the size to your cooking. A one or two litre bottle suits most families cooking a few times a week. If you cook daily or host often, a four or five litre container is more economical.
Buy sealed, not scooped. Sealed packaging protects the oil from air, light and contamination. Oil scooped from an open drum has no traceability.
Ask three questions. When was it milled? Where was it sourced? Is anything added? A trustworthy supplier answers all three without hesitation.
Store it right. Keep the container tightly closed, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Stay with one supplier. Consistency matters. Once you find oil your family enjoys, repeat orders keep your cooking predictable.
