Our Story
It started in a family kitchen
Long before Step'21 Palm Oil Ventures had a name, there was a pot, a wood fire and a woman who knew the difference between real palm oil and something pretending to be it. She could tell by the colour. She could tell by the smell. And she refused to cook with anything less.
That instinct became a standard, and the standard was handed down. When adulterated oil — thinned with water, brightened with dye, sold from open drums — began flooding the markets, we decided that families deserved better than guesswork.
So we went back to the source. We built relationships with producers we can name, milled the fruit fresh, filtered it clean, and sealed it hygienically. What began as a family promise now reaches homes, caterers, restaurants, schools, supermarkets and distributors across Nigeria.
